Meet Anna Frick

Anna Frick's been working behind the scenes in Boulder for several years, as assistant engineer and as the project manager in Boulder's Restoration Center for Audio Archives. She's stepped out front now, joining the team offering mastering, editing, transfers and overdubs.

With a strong background in audiobooks before coming to Airshow, she's ideally suited to record, edit and master this format.  View Anna's page and credits.

There's More to Airshow than Music

Many clients know of our award-winning work with vintage music recordings, from the Harry Smith collection to the Paramount box set. The Restoration Center for Audio Archives is a suite of services we developed for cultural heritage institutions with boxes and closets full of analog audio recordings of all types of content.

The audiobook market in the US is over $1 billion; authors who labor for years over a print or e-book can spend a few weeks and a reasonable amount of money to turn that written work into an audiobook and connect with new audiences. Anna Frick and Jon Gold in Boulder are practiced hands at spoken word recording. Read more.

A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Classical Music Recording

Recording classical music can be an exercise in precision and detail for musicians and recording engineers alike.

We recently spent some time with a chamber music trio while they tracked at our Takoma Park, Maryland studio. From planning out the project to choosing microphones and room placement, get an insider's look at classical recording in our new blog post

Grateful Dead Meet-up at the Movies this Thursday, July 17

Just a reminder that the screening of the Europe '72 "Beat Club" TV studio performance is coming up. There will be no DVD release of this show. David Glasser mastered, and says it sounds darn good.

More information, showtimes, and tickets available here.

See you at the movies.
