Insights into the Creative Economy in Denver and Colorado

In November, the City of Denver's Create Denver initiative hosted the Denver Music Summit, a two-day symposium with the goal of assisting music makers in their business lives, through education and networking.

Airshow General Manager Ann Blonston reports on different ways to view the creative economy and one's place in it and a handful of ways that state, regional and local government organizations financially support music makers here in Colorado.

Paramount Collection is Stereophile's January Recording of the Month

Stereophile named "The Rise and Fall of Paramount Records, Vol. 1: 1917-1932" as the January 2014 Recording of the Month--the second consecutive month an Airshow project was featured! (December 2013 was "The Grateful Dead: Complete Studio Albums Collection")

Robert Baird's report goes in-depth with Dean Blackwood of Revenant Records on the team involved (including Airshow's David Glasser and Anna Frick), the challenges of sourcing the material, perfecting transfers from imperfect originals, and the extensive process that brought the wonder cabinet into being.

"The next-and, from a sonic perspective, the most crucial-aspect to the Wonder-Cabinet was the audio restoration." Read The Paramount Records Cabinet of Wonders review here!
