How to Add Analog Flavor to a Digitally-Produced Project

Today, so many incredible technological advances have made digital mixing and editing the norm, but our ears still crave that full, 3-D, lifelike analog sound.

Airshow Boulder's James Tuttle has tips for engineers working in the digital realm based on his years of experience mixing at Airshow and recording and mixing for eTown, a weekly radio broadcast.

Read his thoughts and suggestions here, on our blog.

NARAS is Coming to Colorado and Airshow

To our Colorado friends who are NARAS members - we hope to see some of you September 17 when the San Francisco NARAS chapter visits Airshow in Boulder to host a Listening Event. Should be a fun time checking out what artists, engineers, and producers have been up to lately and we are honored to have been chosen as the hosting studio. If you aren't a NARAS member yet, please attend the Membership event September 18 in Denver and learn more about joining this vital organization! -Airshow

Based in Boulder, Colorado, The Railsplitters are best described as an old timey bluegrass band but admit that they often stray from the truly traditional sound of the Kentucky derived genre. Their self-titled album was mixed by Aaron Youngberg at Swingfingers Studios and mastered at Airshow Boulder by David Glasser.
