New Client Sounds  Former Red House Painters bass player Jerry Vessel is the creative force behind Heirlooms of August. Their new album Down at the 5-Star was released last month on Caldo Verde Records and is a beautiful "chamber americana" collection of eleven songs, mostly about life in small-town America. Recorded primarily by sound artist Bruce Kaphan and mastered by David Glasser. and Ginger Johnson of The Hula Honeys to create an album of swinging Hapa- haole classics, familiar jazz standards, and a bevy of original material. Recorded and mixed by Kim Person and mastered by Charlie Pilzer at Airshow Takoma Park, this tropic collection will have you tapping your toes and dreaming of Mai Tais on the beach. Listen to "The Girl In The Coconut Hat" by The Hula Honeys  Jeff Scroggins & Colorado's Western Branches is the sophomore release of a talented group of musicians led by banjo master Jeff Scroggins. The album was produced by Sally Van Meter, engineered by Jono Manson, and mastered by David Glasser.
