Jim Cohn Video Recorded in Boulder's Studio A

Guest engineers are invited to rent Boulder's Studio A to mix a project. Tony Crank of Crank It Up audio recently brought poet Jim Cohn's creativity into Studio A to record spoken word vocals, piano, and bass. The sonically accurate studio features full-range monitoring with Dunlavy monitors powered by Bryston amps, a Yamaha DM1000 console, ProTools 8HD, and an integral vocal booth.

Check out this rough cut of "When Hard Times Take Everything" from the soon to be released Venerable Madtown Hall combined CD (mastered by David Glasser) and film of the recording (film by Katrina Miller).

Why to Book a Listening Session Before Mastering Your New Project

A listening session is an excellent opportunity to reality-check your mixes in a new sonic environment. It's also a chance to discuss the aesthetics of your project and learn about our workflow. Airshow's engineers will listen to the mixes in their studio for such things as bottom end, brightness, vocal, and panning. Learn more about listening sessions here.
