Laughter & Learning 
Making learning fun 

         

Laughter is great for learning. It increases alertness, mom laughingimproves memory, elevates mood, and lowers stress (Jenson 1995; Burgess 2000; Sousa 2001; Derks 1998). And even if there weren't any research to support it, we all know from our own learning experiences that laughter, or even just humor, makes for a more pleasant and engaging learning environment. But if humor isn't your thing, how can you bring it to your teaching?
