Lately I've been thinking about the T.V. shows of my childhood: "Leave it to Beaver", "Ozzie and Harriet", "Father Knows Best", etc.  (Right now you're probably thinking, "Man! Pastor Rick is ancient!") 
 
Based on those shows, and on many which followed, you get the idea that almost all families are happy and loving, and any problems which come up can be solved in 30 minutes or less. Unfortunately, that's not reality! Many of us grew up in situations, or are living in families that more closely resemble "The Simpsons" or "Revenge" than "Happy Days."
 
This weekend we'll be looking at the topic of "Hope for the Family." We'll see that God's intention is for all of us, single or married, young or old, to exist in healthy community, whether that's within our family of origin or our spiritual family. We'd love for you to join us as my wife, Judy, and I share what God has to say about families. Sometimes it's messy, sometimes it's challenging, but following God's plan will give you hope.
 
I look forward to seeing you as we examine this important subject and celebrate the women in our lives.
