ARE YOU WEIRD?

Normal isn't working. Think about it. When we handle our finances in the "normal" way, we're over-extended and stressed out. When our marriage is "normal," things stay tense and there's distance between us. When our work ethic is "normal," we're making questionable decisions.

 

The teachings of Jesus and the teachings of Scripture lead us off of the normal, broad path onto a narrow and different path.  If you want what normal people have, just keep doing what normal people do. But if you want what few have, you are going to have to do what few do and take the Bible seriously. If you will, you can have something way better than normal.
 
Join us this weekend as we begin a new teaching series and look at what it means to be "Weird In A God Way."

men's workday MEN'S OUTREACH WORKDAY
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 5        

ERBC Men's Ministry will be doing a workday outreach at the Blind & Deaf Facility in Highland Park, Saturday, October 5.  We'll be doing some maintenance around the facility from 8AM-2PM, and lunch will be provided.  All men are invited to come and serve.  For details, contact Andrew White:  andrew@eaglerockbaptist.com.

Financial Peace Univ FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY
FREE PREVIEW - SUNDAY, OCTOBER 6

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 9         

It's harvest season!  Eagles Wings invites all seniors to join us for a trip to Underwood Farms.  We'll take a tour, shop, have fun and enjoy some farm fresh goodies.  Meet us at ERBC at 9:30AM on Wednesday, October 9.  Wear comfortable shoes and bring $6 for gas & admission plus spending money.  For more info, contact Hortensia Aguilar: hortensia@eaglerockbaptist.com.    
operation christmas child OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
FILL A BOX!          

ERBC is excited to offer an opportunity for you to share the love of Jesus with kids all over the world this Christmas.  Through Operation Christmas Child, you can pack a small box with practical supplies and simple toys that will bless a child in need.  Turn in your box by Friday, October 25.  Find out more by contacting Becky Bibelheimer: becky@eaglerockbaptist.com.

Why go "trick or treating" when you can go "trick or trunking"?! Trick or Trunk is a fun, free, safe way to celebrate on October 31. We'll have a parking lot full of decorated trunks for you to visit (and get treats) from 6:30-8:30PM. Admission is free, and food, snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. This is a community event --invite your friends!
