ARE YOU ANGRY AT GOD?

Jonah had gone up and down the streets of Nineveh proclaiming the message "40 days and Nineveh will be destroyed!" (Jonah 3:4). When the people of Nineveh repented, God decided that He wouldn't destroy the city because their hearts had changed. How did Jonah respond?  "It greatly displeased Jonah and he became angry" (Jonah 4:1).  The Hebrew word for angry means "furious."  Jonah was burning with anger against God because he thought He had made a mistake.
 
You may never have been to Nineveh, but odds are you can relate to Jonah's experience.  We've done what God told us to do and then it seems like He hasn't lived up to His end of the deal.  What do you do when that happens?  That's what we'll be looking at this weekend as we continue to "See Jonah Run" and look at the way in which "Jonah Tries To Run God."

men's workday MEN'S OUTREACH WORKDAY
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 5

Financial Peace Univ FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY
FREE PREVIEW - SUNDAY, OCTOBER 6

operation christmas child OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
FILL A BOX!

Why go "trick or treating" when you can go "trick or trunking"?! Trick or Trunk is a fun, free, safe way to celebrate on October 31. We'll have a parking lot full of decorated trunks for you to visit (and get treats) from 6:30-8:30PM. Admission is free, and food, snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. This is a community event --invite your friends!
