FALLING APART?
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the king's horses, And all the king's men, Couldn't put Humpty together again.
Have you ever stopped to think about what a depressing nursery rhyme this is? What exactly was that egg doing sitting on a wall? And what would we expect the king's horses to do about it once he had fallen?
Whether or not we like to admit it, there are days when all of us feel a little like Humpty Dumpty. Our lives seem shattered, and we're clueless as to how to put the broken pieces back together.
The good news is we have a king who "heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." (Psalm 147:3) and he can do for us what no one could do for poor Humpty Dumpty.
I hope you can join us this weekend as we look at what the Bible says about how we should respond when our world is falling apart.
Embracing the journey,
Pastor Rick
