DOES GOD GRADE ON A CURVE?
What's the worst sin you can think of? Murder? Denying Christ? Hurting a child? If I asked you to think of the least harmful sin, what comes to your mind? Little white lies? Sins of omission? If we asked God the same questions, He might not have an answer for either.
We like to rank sin on a sliding scale that goes from not-so-bad to truly horrendous. But God doesn't see sin that way.
Romans 3:23 says "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." It doesn't say some have sinned a little and others have sinned a lot. The problem with a 'shades of grey' view of sin is that it can distort the way that we look at other things as well. We can wind up judging others, justifying ourselves and concluding that there are some sins that can never be forgiven.
I hope you can join us this weekend as we look at the last one on our list of "Dumb Things Smart Christians Believe " which is that "God Grades on a Curve."

 CELEBRATE RECOVERY
Lives are changing! Over 700,000 people have gone through Celebrate Recovery, a program designed to help those struggling with hurts, hang-ups, and habits by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ through the recovery process.  YOUTH BRODOWN
All 7th-12th grade guys are invited to the church for guy's night. There will be jousting, Nerf wars, caribou wrestling, hot sauce, Mustaches, Krispy Kreams with the red light, and all things that would gross girls out. ERBC Youth will be reaching out, putting together snack care packages and delivering them to the homeless in our community. Saturday, April 6, 9AM-1PM in Chi Hall.
