FEELING LIKE THE LONE RANGER?

lone ranger

When a person goes his own way and does his own thing people may refer to him as a "Lone Ranger."  This name comes from the fictitious hero of radio, television and comic books.  What we often forget about the "Lone" Ranger is that he actually didn't try to go it alone.  He had his "faithful Indian companion, Tonto" as his partner.

The Lone Ranger realized something that we often forget: that "two are better than one."  God has wired us in such a way that we are better together.  Christians need to know that there are other Christians who have got their back.  This is one of the things that we'll explore this weekend as we look at "Getting Unstuck In Our Friendships."  I hope you can join us.

Embracing the journey,

Pastor Rick

Answering the Call ANSWERING THE CALL
SPECIAL OFFERING

The deadline for the "Answering The Call" Special Offering is approaching (January 31).  Will you please consider praying for the offering this week AND helping us reach our goal?

As you know... our goal for this Special Offering is $50,000, and 100% of the offering goes to support 5 very important ministry initiatives for our church in 2013.

Good News: we are more than 60% of the way to our goal and 179 people have already given!

Bad News: With the looming deadline of January 31, if we don't hit our goal, we will have to make some tough decisions about what we can and cannot support in 2013.

If we can achieve 100% of this goal, we can...

Do Justice by fighting human trafficking and providing clean drinking water for the poorest of the poor around the world

Love Mercy by assisting the widows, orphans and the poor and needy in our community and around the world

Walk Humbly With Our God by sharing His love through outreach and evangelism projects, offering resources in marriage, financial and emotional counseling and investing in church planting.

As your pastor, I'm encouraged by the generosity of our church and optimistic that we will hit our goal!  Please pray for God to be honored through this offering, and pray for all those who are considering giving between now and January 31.

Next weekend (January 26/27) is the time that we'll be receiving our "Answering the Call Piggy Banks," so if you have coins that you've been collecting over the past weeks, bring them with you to one of the worship services, as we'll be receiving them during a point in the service.

If you want to give TODAY or would like more specific details about the offering, just click here.

Thank you for praying!

See you this weekend & God bless you...
Pastor Rick

P.S. - This offering is about sacrificial giving that has a local, national, and global impact.
