PEACE, PLEASE...
When we think of Christmas and the word 'peace,' the picture that often comes to mind is that of shepherds keeping watch over their flocks by night. Suddenly, an angel appears with good news about a baby born in a manger, then a multitude of angels join in singing, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill to men."
We hear the same story every Christmas: peace on earth. We sing about it. We pray for it. Peace on Earth: an end to wars, an end to bitterness and hostility, an end to fear. We even talk about how nice it would be to have Christmas all year long, so we could always focus on "Peace and Goodwill toward men."
This weekend, as we continue our series on "Unwrapping" the gifts of Christmas, we'll be looking at God's gift of peace and what we have to do in order to enjoy it, not just at Christmas time, but all throughout the year. I hope you can join us.

 FEED THE 500 OUTREACH
ERBC Young Adults invite everyone to join us as we reach out to feed the homeless at the Union Rescue Mission. We'll meet for worship at ERBC at the 9AM service on December 16 and then carpool to downtown LA where we'll serve 500 people, from 11AM-3PM. Complete a volunteer application to serve (click here).  YOUTH CHRISTMAS PARTY
