Dear AIA Cincinnati:
I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for a truly amazing year
and to also wish you a fun, relaxing, and safe Christmas season.
I wish you all nothing but the best as we quickly approach the start of a new year.
As I reflect on the year we had, I'm humbled by all that we've
achieved together and I'm proud to have been the 2015 AIA
Cincinnati President.
A few highlights from this year:
- AIA Cincinnati celebrated our 145th Anniversary - the 4th oldest chapter in the US.
- John Rogers receives the AIA Ohio Gold Medal Architect - the highest honor that AIA Ohio can be stow on an individual. It is conferred by the AIA Ohio Board of Directors in recognition of exemplary service to the profession, the organization, or through design excellence.
- Pat Daugherty celebrated her 20th year as our Executive Director.
- We recently unveiled new websites for both AIA Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Design Awards.
- We offered more than 48 meaningful, informative, and inspirational programs and events throughout the year (providing opportunities for 65.5 learning units) - the majority of which were free, in a cool space and had a bar.
If it's been a while since you've joined us at one of our events - I'd encourage you to check out our calendar for 2016. Make a plan to come connect with us. There's something for everyone. I guarantee that you'll leave fulfilled and looking forward to the next chance to get together.
We have a strong design community here in Cincinnati - and I'm
proud of the work that we do together. Our strength is in our
members - their passion, their dedication, their creativity. So thank
you sincerely for being a member. Best of luck in 2016!
Warm regards,
Jeffrey A. Sackenheim, AIA
