October 22 Chapter Program and Elections

The October 22nd AIA Chapter Meeting has been coordinated to coincide with the ACADIA 2015 conference.
 
The Association for Computer-Aided Design in Architecture in association with UC SAID is featuring keynote speakers Cristina Diaz Moreno & Efren Garcia Grina of amid cero 9 on Thursday evening.

Please join us in room 8220 at DAAP at 5:45 for Board Elections followed by the lecture.
 
Social to follow at Rhinegeist, 1901 Elm Street.
 
The Ashley Shafer lecture will be rescheduled.

The Digital in Design + Making

Join GBBN's Cincinnati Team Wednesday, October 21, 2015 to celebrate its inaugural Design Issues Series (DIS) exhibition entitled, The Digital in Design and Making, which explores the work of the firm and the use of digital tools to create inspiring spaces and architectural artifacts. This (DIS) exhibition will feature projects by GBBN that have used digital design processes and fabrication to create architectural objects. The architectural design process is unfolded with a collection of sketches, video, imagery, digital and physical models demonstrating how buildings take shape. The design of the exhibition is the collective effort by a range of GBBN staff, featuring multiple projects from all of the firm's four locations. For more information, check out: GBBN Exhibition

ACADIA Conference - October 22-24

Workshops Offered October 19-21

ACADIA 2015 COMPUTATIONAL ECOLOGIES: Design in the Anthropocene will be taking place October 22-24 at the University of Cincinnati School of Architecture and Interior Design. Workshops are scheduled for October 19-21 and a hackathon for October 25. 

ACADIA is an international network of digital design researchers and professionals.  ACADIA supports critical investigations into the role of computation in architecture, planning, and building science, encouraging innovation in design creativity, sustainability, and education.
