Lecture Description: The call to architecture is a deeply personal realization. Inspired by the natural and built environment, architects recognize the connection. Robert Ivy, FAIA, shares his moment of realization, the architects and themes that shape his vision, and the challenges and opportunities all architects face in a world of accelerating change.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn about three key demographic and societal trends that architects must understand to be able to apply their skills and experience toward meaningful solutions.
- Attendees will detail how the profession of architecture is also rapidly changing, with new tools and resources available to architects that can prepare them for meeting new challenges and leveraging new opportunities.
- Learn about how the AIA is changing to support a strong and vibrant architecture profession.
- Attendees will grasp the unique perspective that architects can provide in helping clients and communities to work collaboratively in developing and implementing strategies that advance the best solutions to the challenges and opportunities facing us now and in the future.
