The American Opportunity Tax Credit is now worth up to $10,000 over four years of college and the Pell Grant has increased by about $1,000
Did You Know? While it's important and cost effective to take AP and college classes as a high school student, it is important to limit it so that you will enter college as a freshman.  Like transfer students, if your student arrives with enough credit hours to be a sophomore, they become ineligible for four-year scholarships.

The American Opportunity Tax Credit is now worth up to $10,000 over four years of college and the Pell Grant has increased by about $1,000 (from $5,645 to $5,730). Learn more about these new changes here.

At The Beacon School, Max Goodman is among the top 10% of his class and is a member of the varsity baseball team, Beacon Big Sib Program, Student Leadership Team, Pre-Calculus 95% Club, and a sportswriter for school newspaper.  

 

Outside of school, Max was inspired by his friend's younger brother Daniel (who is blind) to launch the fundraiser I CARE, a sight improvement project which donates boxes of eyeglasses to schools, synagogues, and doctor's offices. To date, Max has helped to collect over 2000 eyeglasses.
