We will serve and protect all people within our jurisdiction through dedication, professionalism, and active cooperation with respect for human dignity. We will recognize that the authority given to the Sheriff in his power of arrest comes directly from the people we serve, and that no law enforcement agency can ever impose upon the people more law enforcement than the people are willing to accept. Therefore, we will serve all citizens in the course of our duties recognizing the need for fairness, consistency, and compassion for all people.
