Rate increase: Intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities 

Intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities (ICF-IID) provide a comprehensive support option to persons with intellectual disabilities. Due to the comprehensive supports provided in these settings, Smoky Mountain LME/MCO (Smoky) has approved a 5% rate increase for ICF-IIDs operated by providers under contract with Smoky. This rate will be retroactive for claims with dates of service starting July 1, 2015.
 
Providers may begin billing using the new rate on October 1, 2015. For re-adjudication of previously reimbursed claims please contact your designated Smoky claims specialist at 828-225-2785, ext. 2455 or claims@smokymountaincenter.com.
