Recently, Smoky Mountain LME/MCO made the decision not to renew certain service lines (ACTT, Intensive In-Home, CST) for several providers in the network.  This decision is intended to take effect on January 1, 2016 and was based on Smoky's written selection and retention criteria. The selection and retention policy was presented to the Provider Advisory Council (PAC) at the August 2014 PAC meeting and posted to the Smoky website for comment for a period of thirty (30) days immediately thereafter. Two separate communication bulletins were issued to notify Network Providers of the selection and retention criteria and to solicit feedback. 

Please note that the providers who received a notice of non-renewal all remain in good standing in the Smoky Closed Network, and that Smoky will continue to make referrals to these providers through October 31, 2015, as we committed to do in the formal notice of non-renewal. If you have any questions about these decisions, we encourage you to attend future Provider Advisory Council meetings to engage in dialogue on this and other topics affecting network participation.
