Gender Task Force Sponsored Panel Discussion on Women's Empowerment Initiatives at USAID

 

Earlier this month, USAID released both the Women's Empowerment in Agriculture Index (WEAI) and the Gender Equality and Female Empowerment Policy. The FSN Network Gender Task Force is holding a panel discussion on April 3 at 1:30 PM at Save the Children's DC office (2000 L Street, NW, Suite 500) to explore what this means for implementing partners. There will be a panel discussion led by Caren Grown, the Senior Gender Advisor at USAID. Information regarding other panel members will be sent at a later date.

 

Following this discussion will be the regularly scheduled Gender Task Force meeting. We encourage your participation. An agenda for this meeting is forthcoming. To RSVP to this event, please email mteuber@savechildren.org

Event: #AskAg Twitter Chat

USAID and Agrilinks are hosting an #AskAg Twitter chat on the Women's Empowerment in Agriculture Index (WEAI). Tweet with WEAI experts Emily Hogue and Tania Tam of USAID's Bureau for Food Security. 2012 International Food Relief Partnership (IFRP) Request for Applications

USAID's Office of Food for Peace has released the 2012 International Food Relief Partnership (IFRP) Request for Applications (RFA). Click here to read the RFA. The submission date is Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at 12 PM, EST.

Event: Knowledge Sharing in Food Security and Agriculture: Improving Practice for Increased Impact

If you missed the Agrilinks-hosted AgExchange on "Best Practices, Lessons Learned, and Effective Tools in Knowledge Sharing for Food Security and Agriculture Programs," held March 20-22, you can attend the Ag Sector Council Seminar on March 28. The event, Knowledge Sharing in Food Security and Agriculture: Improving Practice for Increased Impact, will feature three facilitators from the recent online event, including TOPS Senior Knowledge Management Specialist Joan Whelan. Each presenter will explore an area of knowledge sharing to reveal successful practices, important considerations, and useful tools. For more information and to register click here.
