On Monday, August 24, the Graduate School welcomed new graduate and professional students to Cornell.
|
The Graduate School is pleased to announce a new vendor-discount program to help Cornell community members save money. All Cornell undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, staff, faculty and retirees are now eligible to participate in the SUNY Perks program.
SUNY Perks provides discounts on many products, including computers, cell phone service, travel, movies, cars and restaurants. With each purchase, buyers earn points that can be redeemed when purchases are made. Typical savings include 20% off ATT cell service, $8.49 movie tickets, and substantial discounts on clothing and car purchases.

A evening designed for student parents to build community and to share information and strategies for success, during which dinner and childcare are provided.
- For Parents: Enjoy dinner with fellow parents and spouses/partners followed by a facilitated discussion on a topic of importance to your role as a parent.
- For Child(ren): Dinner, childcare, and age-appropriate activities will be provided by the Cornell Child Care Center. Children from infants to age 12 are welcome.

The Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning (CIRTL) Network is offering a massive open online course (MOOC) on teaching science, technology, engineering, and mathematics from September 28 - November 19 through Coursera. Funding and resources are available to those interested in leading weekly discussions around the CIRTL MOOC.
