Conference Grant Deadlines

Please note that the deadlines for these awards are firm.

Conference grants are due the 1st of the month (or the next business day if the first falls on a weekend day) prior to conference month. Applications received after the deadline will be awarded a maximum of 1/2 the conference amount.

The start date of the conference is used to determine the deadline for submission. Example: For a conference dated August 29 - September 2 with a student's presentation on September 1, the application must be received by the July 1st deadline since the start date of the conference is in August.

To apply for an award a student must complete the conference grant application (form F6) with all required signatures, brief statement of relevance of conference with research, one page abstract of presenting material & acceptance email from conference agent if it's available. Grant applications will be accepted without acceptance letters but the documentation must be provided before any payment can be released.

Please submit completed applications as a PDF to the [email protected] mailbox or drop off at 143 Caldwell Hall.

Cornell Statistical Consulting Unit

Summer Workshop Schedule

The Cornell Statistical Consulting Unit offers workshops every semester on statistical topics that are commonly used by researchers. The emphasis is on the application of statistical methods, rather than statistical theory. These workshops are offered free of charge to members of the Cornell community, but due to limited space, we do ask that you register.

Priority will be given to faculty, students and staff from the units who support us. Please have a look at
Workshop Descriptions for a list of the workshops currently being offered.

We are planning to add workshops on more topics in the near future.

Orientation Volunteers

Interested in meeting new students?  Want to help new graduate and professional students learn about Cornell and the Ithaca area?  The Graduate School is looking for graduate students, who have been at Cornell for at least one year, to volunteer for the Graduate and Professional Student Orientation starting on Monday, August 26th- Friday, August 30th.
