Check out these new online learning opportunities that support early childhood educators in providing quality teaching and learning experiences:
California Early Childhood Online (CECO) provides access to comprehensive resources and courses in one centralized location to meet the ever-changing needs of the early childhood field. The courses provided on the CECO Web site enable teachers to increase content knowledge and provide developmentally appropriate experiences for children in their care. Within CECO, teachers are able to explore modules on DRDP for preschool and infant toddlers, as well as modules on the California Foundations and Framework. These courses are developed by California Department of Education and offered free of charge.
DRDPtech webinars are offered free of charge and provide step-by-step instructions on the inner workings of the DRDPtech cloud-based application.The webinar is an hour in length, and participants learn how to enter DRDP data into the online storage system. DRDPtech is available free of charge for agencies funded by CDE's Child Development Division (CDD), California Head Start programs,California tribal CCDF and Head Start programs, and for California K-12 school districts. California's Early Care and Education (ECE) Training Portal provides information on an array of high quality trainings and online ECE/child development courses. Through the portal, educators can search for trainings based on desired criteria (zip code, topic, date etc.)
The DRDP Portfolio App is free of charge and available for iPad, iPhone and iTouch in the iTunes store and for Android on the Desired Results Web site. The app supports teachers in collecting and organizing evidence for children in an easy concise manner.Teachers can now collect evidence using the DRDP Portfolio app and complete the DRDP with DRDPtech.
