 Farmers Market Renovation Continues

Duck and Run 5K
If you've been down to the Athens Farmers Market, you will notice several changes!

There have been sidewalks and on-street parking added and additional grass planted where pavement was removed.

Bricks have been salvaged to use to build raised garden beds which were provided to us by Lynn Persell, Home Builder.  Other salvaged materials will be provided by the City of Athens.

Very soon a gazebo will be delivered to be built and placed on the green area near the 5-way stop.  This gazebo will be constructed by volunteers and landscaped by our local Lowe's Heroes!

We are grateful to the many volunteers, including Doug Doerr and his Boy Scout Troop.  Doug will be working hard at the market building raised garden beds as he works toward his Eagle Scout award.

Please stop at the market to shop...and check out the work that has been done.

for future generations whose words of thanks will not be heard."
