1. BearBuy Unavailable
 
BearBuy will be unavailable Friday, April 8th at 6PM to Sunday, April 10th at 9AM. 
  • BearBuy will be up and running on Monday, April 11th. 
  • BFS will remain available during its normal daily hours of 7AM until 9PM.
What to expect during the outage
  • BearBuy will not be available.
  • In the event of a true purchasing emergency, please contact your Campus Buyer for assistance.
SQ1Release
 
New enhancements will be available in BearBuy on April 11, 2016. A PowerPoint presentation outlining the new features is available under the 'Recent Product Releases' menu on the Supply Chain Management (SCM) website.

The highlights of this release are:

3. New Grainger Hosted Catalog

Grainger is the UC system-wide agreement supplier for maintenance, repair, and operations, offering products across various categories, from hand tools to light bulbs, ladders and more. We are excited to announce that a UC system-wide Grainger Hosted Catalog is now available in BearBuy search results to make purchasing easier and more efficient. You can look forward to:

4. Expanded Sigma Punch-out Content
We are pleased to announce that the Event Planner Card training is now available online through the UC Learning Center. Enter course number BEESS998 in the activity search to locate the training.

Course Description: This course is required for Event Planner Card program procedures. All new cardholder, reconciler and approver participants in the Event Planner Card program at UC Berkeley are required to take this coure and pass a 10-question quiz.

Register to learn more about BearBuy with one of our upcoming in-class trainings based on BearBuy user roles.  Courses are offered through the UC Learning Center. Instructions and more information on how to enroll can be found on the page. 
 
BearBuy Change Order Preparer | April 20, 2016

Hands-on classroom training for Change Order Preparer role.  Participants will learn concepts, workflow, best practices, and can test their knowledge through several scenarios in BearBuy.. We will also demonstrate additional training materials available for the role, including Job Aids, manuals and YouTube videos.

7. "Did you know?" Useful BearBuy Tip Reminder: 
  
Q: I need to place the same America To Go (ATG) order for a future event. How can I copy a previous order from the same caterer/restaurant containing the same number of items with similar if not exact order detail (location, number of people, activity type, etc)? 

A: After navigating to the ATG punch-out, select My Orders form the top right corner of the screen.

My Orders contains all orders you previously shopped for within the ATG punch-out. From the list, locate the order you wish to copy and select the reorder link.
 










Once selected, the ATG punch-out will automatically add the items contained in the previous order. Please note: Your new order will not have a time/date associated to it. Select the Time  header to update the time and date for the new order before moving forward.
