1. Announcing the Illumina Catalog in BearBuy

We are excited to announce the UC system-wide Illumina catalog is now available in BearBuy. The Illumina catalog sticker located in the Lab Supply/Research category on the Home/Shop page provides a direct route to 700 frequently purchased Illumina items. Please note that Illumina equipment is not included in the catalog, so continue to follow existing guidelines for equipment purchases.

2. BearBuy Scheduled Maintenance Downtime

Users will not be able to access BearBuy from Friday, March 27th at 6PM to Sunday, March 29th at 9AM due to the 15.1 SciQuest feature release upgrade.

BFS will remain available during its normal daily hours of 7AM until 9PM.

3. 15.1 SciQuest Release Q&A Webinar

The SciQuest 15.1 release will be available in BearBuy on Monday, March 30, 2015. We will host a 15.1 live Q&A webinar to go over all the new features coming in 15.1.

BearBuy Requisition Creator | April 17, 2015

Thorough classroom training for the BearBuy Requisition Creator Role. Participants will learn concepts, workflow, best practices, and can test their knowledge through several hands-on exercises in BearBuy. We will also demonstrate additional training materials available for the role, including Job Aids, manuals and YouTube videos.

BearBuy Change Order Preparer | April 22, 2015

Hands-on classroom training for Change Order Preparer role. Participants will learn concepts, workflow, best practices, and can test their knowledge through several scenarios in BearBuy.

BearBuy Authorizer & Requisition Approver | April 28, 2015

Course Number: BEESS966-150428

Detailed classroom training for the BearBuy Requisition Approver, Additional Authorizer, Chartfield 1 & 2 Authorizer Roles. Participants will learn concepts, workflow, best practices, and test their knowledge through several exercises in BearBuy. We will also review where to find additional training materials available for the role, including Job Aids and YouTube videos.

BearBuy Match Exception Preparer | April 30, 2015

Interactive classroom training for the BearBuy Match Exception Preparer role. Participants will be shown concepts, workflow, best practices, and test their knowledge through several exercises in BearBuy.

5. 20/30 Webinar Training Series

The goal of the 20/30 series is to provide greater insight on BearBuy process and procedures based on system functionality. Each webinar session is tailored to provide a short in depth review of a specific topic/issue. Each session is scheduled for 30 minutes (15 minutes for concepts and functionality overview and 15 minutes for questions).

Below are the upcoming sessions and their unique webinar sign up. All sessions are scheduled on Wednesdays, from 1:30 to 2:00 pm.

An Overview of the Independent Contractor & Consultant Services Form

This webinar is recommended for users with little form usage knowledge.

This webinar will look at the Independent Contractor & Consultant Services Form. We'll go over what must occur before you log into BearBuy, what information must be included on the form, the form layout, and how to submit the form so it's processed as quickly as possible.

6. New BearBuy Instagram - Follow us!

We are excited to announce our new social media Instagram account @

ucb_bearbuy.

Instagram is a social media app that allows users to upload photos and videos and share with others. The free app is available for both iPhone and Android. Managed by the Supply Chain Management Operation team, the BearBuy Instagram account will feature a variety of BearBuy-related pictures and videos, ranging from our training efforts across campus departments to BearBuy events!
