1. BearBuy Scheduled Maintenance Downtime

  

To accommodate the SciQuest 14.2 feature release upgrade BearBuy will be unavailable starting at 6pm on Friday, July 18 through 12pm Sunday, July 20. BFS will remain available during normal daily hours of 7am to 9pm.

 

 

 

2.  20-30 Webinar Training Series

 

Operations & Technology is launching a 20-30 BearBuy Webinar Training Series. The goal of the 20-30 series is to provide greater insight on BearBuy process and procedures based on system functionality.  Each webinar session is tailored to provide a short in depth review of a specific topic/issue. Each session is scheduled for 30 minutes (15 for concepts and functionality overview and 15 for questions). 

 

Below are the upcoming sessions and their unique webinar sign up. All sessions are scheduled on Wednesdays, from 1:30 to 2:00 pm.

The BearBuy team regularly conducts interactive meetings for the Bears-that-Buy user group. As the BearBuy utilization increases, it is important to expand the user group to include users who have used the system for some time and would like wish to participate in the continuous improvement of BearBuy.

5. "Did you know?" Useful BearBuy Tips 

  

Q: Is Supplier Not Found a valid selection for the Supplier field on a form? 

 

 

A: Shoppers and Cart Authorizers may select Supplier Not Found on a form and submit for processing however a Requisition Creator must change the Supplier Not Found to a valid supplier before approving/completing the PR Creator workflow step.

 

If a valid supplier is not selected on a form before the Requisition Creator approves/completes the REQ Creator workflow step, the Requisition will be auto-returned by the system.
