From January through March, foreclosures were down nearly 36 percent compared to the first quarter of 2013. March's tally alone was the lowest since 2005.

The city of Monona purchased two properties and has control over three others for planned redevelopment along the Yahara River.

ORPHEUM FACADE IMPROVEMENTS GAIN LANDMARKS APPROVAL

 

The Madison Landmarks Commission followed a city staff recommendation and unanimously approved a proposal from owners Gus and Mary Paras to remove the theater's brick facade and replace it with granite, which would have a color similar to the original marble facade that was removed in the 1960s.
