September saw a listing success rate of 71.5% for single-family homes and 74.4% for condos in Dane County, according to MLS data. Sold homes spent about 56 days on the market, while condos that sold took an average 118 days.

Mercury Marine Inc., a Fond du Lac manufacturer of outboard marine engines, is planning a $30 million expansion that would be fueled by a $10 million government loan.
