 VILLAGE LOOKS TO FUTURE WITH TIF

Village of Big Bend - The village is one step closer to forming a tax incremental financing district (TIF) after an April 25 public hearing. Ehlers, a financing firm, presented a draft of its TIF project plan to the Plan Commission and will take input from that group, the public and a board of other tax districts in creating a final proposal plan.

COUNCIL OKS FINANCING HELP FOR NORTHWESTERN MUTUAL, LAKEFRONT ROADS

A $73.3 million city financing package to help pay for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co.'s new downtown Milwaukee office tower, and new lakefront roads and pedestrian bridges, won unanimous Common Council approval Tuesday morning.
