First Edition
Let's Journey Together!

Union Service with South Church HERE
This Sunday at 10:30am
Every year we recognize our common bonds with South Congregational Church, Granby, by worshiping together in one of our sanctuaries. 2016 is our year to host.

The first always takes place on MLK Sunday, remembering the enormous contribution Dr. King made to our nation and the Christian church. Music will be rockin'! In order to allow the choirs time to rehearse together, worship will begin at 10:30. Children up to grade 8 will meet in the Gathering Room downstairs at 10:30 for their own worship and activities related to Dr. King.

Following worship, we'll share lunch in Cook Hall. A panel of folks from both churches will share personal stories of becoming aware of the effects of privilege and racism: "How my eyes were opened." Please join us--and invite a friend!

News of Frances Dewey (Beebe) Hartswick
We learned this week of the death of Frances Hartswick, who served as First Church's organist during the 1970s. Her obituary is here.
