First Edition
Let's Journey Together!

Sunday...
We'll hear the story of a group of friends who cared about someone so deeply that they tore a hole in the roof of the house where Jesus was staying in order to get their friend to him. (The child's drawing above captures everything I love about the story!) Seeing the faith of the four friends, Jesus says, "Son, your sins are forgiven" and the man is healed. Just like that.

Rather than celebrating the healing that just took place, Jesus' critics are outraged. They accuse Jesus of practicing without a license, basically, complaining "Only God can do this!"

My question is: Who has the authority to forgive... and to heal? If not us, then who? Can we afford not to exercise this blessing? See you in worship!
