Celebration Sunday!
This Sunday we celebrate and recognize the MANY and VARIED ministries this congregation. We'll hear--and see--different ways that people EXPLORE, CONNECT, AND SERVE. Following worship we'll adjourn to Cook Hall for refreshments and the Ministry Fair. Get stamps on your CELEBRATION SUNDAY PASSPORT to win a great prize:
  • $50 gift certificate for @the Barn, Granby's newest restaurant

  • a plane ride with Jamie
  • a bottle of wine
  • a selection of handmade cards
AppleFest is TOMORROW!! 10am-4pm
ALL HANDS ON DECK! Creative crafters and vendors, an elaborate bake sale and a lunch station with out-of-this-world chili and soups. Our very popular tag sale will start earlier this year for early-bird shoppers, and of course ~ our famous cheese bread, baked by First Church men-and-friends is always a highlight.

Donations should be delivered to the CHOIR ROOM Friday, September 18 no later than 7pm or Saturday, September 19 before 9am.

ONE-ROOM SCHOOLHOUSE 
is remodeled,
and ready for kids 
this Sunday at 10 am. 
(sneak preview during the AppleFest)
There are many children in Granby who don't go to church... Think about inviting friends to visit us this fall!

SchoolHouse needs
Scrappy Dappy Doo you have scraps of fabric? The Sunday School wants them! We are going to make a prayer chain on Sunday, Sept 27th and need long pieces of scrap fabric. Please contact Linda Smyth or Laura Murach if can help or have questions. Donations can be dropped off in the office. Thank you!

(classes for rising 9th graders) Our first meeting is Sept 24th, at 7pm, in the Gathering Room. We will meet every Thursday evening thereafter.  If you know someone who would like to be included in these classes contact Rebecca.

Tara's Memory Cafe 
Designed for individuals with early stage Alzheimer's disease and their care partners, this program offers an afternoon of celebration, learning and community. Join us at one or more of the following events:

Monday, September 21, 2-4pm, A Visit to Angel Horses 
Tour this beautiful horse retirement sanctuary. Pet a Nigerian goat, groom a donkey, and learn about the benefits of equine-assisted therapy. 12 Knollwood Lane, West Granby

Tapestry Singers Concert, October 4, 4pm

Enjoy a fun-filled one hour musical performance that will support the youth of our church.
A variety of music will be performed including sacred music, Broadway selections, Rogers and Hammerstein, Billy Joel, James Taylor, Carole King, and more!
A free-will offering will be taken - all proceeds benefit our youth programs.
