CAFE CHURCH this Sunday 
Join us this Sunday!  Eight tables will be set up cafe style in Cook Hall.  Sit with family or friends, drink coffee and share your thoughts. Discussion THIS WEEK on how Life and Faith are LIKE THE OCEAN. Come join your church family for Cafe Church this Sunday at 9:30 (or earlier for breakfast!) 
Can you host pre-worship continental breakfast one Sunday?  Sign up outside the kitchen.
  NOTE: Hot breakfast will be served starting at 8:30, lunch "to-go" available after worship.

G Crew will meet Sunday at 7:30pm for VOLLEY BALL with Jim in Cook Hall.  Look ahead to Tuesday at 8PM for Movie Night featuring "The PERKS of BEING a WALL FLOWER" 
Construction Skill Training for the Mission Trip - We have no volunteers to help train us yet!!!  Please, contact  Rebecca if you can help with basics like power drills, and screw guns. Training dates are:  July 19th at 11am and August 2nd at 11am.

Bad News for G Crew One of the sectionals that was donated to our youth room has become odorous (from feline accidents in the donor home).  It has unfortunately become a problem now that we have hit the heat and humidity of summer.  SO>>> WE are back to NEEDING A DONATION of a sectional / sofa / or couch.  And soon - as we have 17 regular members!  We are asking our church family to be on the look out for us.  Thank you!

        

Community Garden News

Our Community Garden is looking really good. We hope you had the pleasure of sampling the radishes that were harvested a couple weeks ago. More fresh vegetables are coming soon!

To continue in the spirit of this being a whole church community project, if you have just 15 minutes to spare in the next week please drop by to do some weeding. Fortunately we've had some good rain and because of the weed fabric, there is not a lot of work to do but it still needs tending to. Thank you!


  

It's that time again... BLOCK PARTY

on South Marshall Street July 14, 4-7pm 

Organizers continue to collect bikes (goal - 100), and children's books (goal -1200) to give away. So far, 24 organizations have signed on to participate. Contact Nancy Rion to volunteer or for further information.
