Let's Journey Together! 
CAFE CHURCH Begins this Sunday 
Join us this Sunday!  Eight tables will be set up cafe style in Cook Hall.  Sit with family or friends, drink coffee and share your thoughts the morning after the Fourth of July. Rebecca will lead us in a discussion on how Life and Faith are LIKE A PARADE. It's not such a stretch if you think about it - the chaos of different music & drummers, the variety of uniforms, ideologies, and generations that all come together in the big mix we call a parade. And somehow it works.  In fact, it wouldn't be a parade worth watching if we all marched to the same song.  Think about your own parade memories. Think about your life, and think about the faith journey you've been on.  Then, come join your church family for Cafe Church this Sunday at 9:30 (or earlier for breakfast!) And bring a side dish to share for the potluck picnic after the service!

G Crew will meet Sunday at 7:30pm and Tuesday at 7:45 for Movie Night.
Construction Skill Training for the Mission Trip will take place after the church services on July 19th and Aug 2nd. If you are willing to help train our youth on one of those dates, please contact Rebecca. 
So Grateful!  We now have all our chaperons for the Mission trip.  Thank you all for beating the bushes and helping us find our team leaders.

All summer we'll be exploring some distinctively summer-ish themes. Don't miss Café Church when you are in town, Sundays at 9:30. Continental breakfast starts at 9. See you in church!

7/5/15- Fourth of July Picnic

Celebrate the 4th with First! Please bring a side dish or dessert to share!

Throughout the summer, we will continue to provide breakfast from 8:30 until church starts, and lunch when church is over.  We would like to plan for pot luck picnics on the first Sunday of the month this summer- July 5th, August 2nd, and September 6th.

If people would like to sign up to bring a side dish or dessert for the lunch meal any week this summer, we would love the help! We will see you this summer!

 

Community Garden News

Our Community Garden is looking really good. We hope you had the pleasure of sampling the radishes that were harvested a couple weeks ago. More fresh vegetables are coming soon!

To continue in the spirit of this being a whole church community project, if you have just 15 minutes to spare in the next week please drop by to do some weeding. Fortunately we've had some good rain and because of the weed fabric, there is not a lot of work to do but it still needs tending to. Thank you!

on South Marshall Street July 14, 4-7pm 

Organizers continue to collect bikes (goal - 100), and children's books (goal -1200) to give away. So far, 24 organizations have signed on to participate. Contact Nancy Rion to volunteer or for further information.
