Let's Journey Together!
From Rebecca:

SPRING 2015 Ch...ch...ch...changes!

~ ONE ROOM SUNDAY SCHOOL ~

Sometime in January I began to have new thoughts about the Sunday School... Couldn't we create a one-room schoolhouse that has energetic music, older youth teaching younger youth, and out-of the-basement field trips that give kids a hands-on experience of spiritual lessons for our times? Could we use the magic of media to combine secular and sacred sources to involve and interest our kids on Sunday morning? And then Ginny sent me this...

Children start off this Sunday in worship but starting next week, April 26, children will gather downstairs every week. Our Spring theme is  LIFE IS FULL OF RESURRECTION! There will be singing and field trips

Special thanks to Eugene Smyth, Hank Prussing, Sherry & Kevin Kittelsen, Vicki Saunders, the Trustees, and our middle school boys for helping us with ideas and implementation of the one-room school house!

G CREW meets this Sunday in UB14 at 6:30...making plans for Spring!

CONGREGATIONAL DISCERNMENT MEETING

April 26, 10 a.m.

Our worship time a week from Sunday will be devoted to reflecting together on where we've been and where we're going. Your thoughtful presence is needed!

Breakfast will be served in Cook Hall beginning at 8:30 a.m. The meeting/worship will begin at 10 a.m., and will be followed by lunch. Discerning how God is calling us, both individually and as a gathered congregation, is an act of praise and faithfulness! Let us worship God together!

Recently the Granby Land Trust offered pieces of the Granby Oak that were damaged in the October 2011 snowstorm to those who offered a reasonable proposal. Thanks to Vicki Saunders, we will be receiving a large chunk of storm-damaged limb. Do you have an idea for what we should carve from it? Talk to  Vicki!

Korean Partnership
Pastor Ginny and Doug Williams will travel to South Korea April 23-30. They will represent the Connecticut Conference in signing a 5-year extension of our partnership agreement with the Kyung-Ki Presbytery. Pastor Ginny will preach Sunday at Han Mok Church (the newest partner congregation) on Sunday and Doug will sing "One More Circle." They will take part in dedicating the peace pole which was delivered to Suwon Presbyterian Church by three of our high school youth who traveled to South Korea last summer. And Pastor Ginny will present a 10-minute history of our denomination at the Annual Meeting of the Kyung-Ki Presbytery (with a translator).

New Members Welcome!
Have you or your family been participating in worship and wondered about
the next steps in participation? We will welcome new members in worship on Sunday, May 3. If interested in investigating full membership, talk to Pastor Ginny or one of the deacons for more information.

Come for breakfast - Stay for lunch!
Breakfast is served Sunday mornings from 8:30am to 10am in Cook Hall.  Lunch is served hot or to-go following worship. Often there is a gluten-free offering available - if interested, ask the cooks!

Lunch Containers
