First Edition
Let's Journey Together!
A note from Rebecca

For the next two months our Sunday School will be exploring a new theme>>>.
"Life is full of Resurrection"
Resurrection...as in new life emerging from a cold dormant winter.
The seasons teach us about hope, second chances and new beginnings.
It is the 'way' of life, and it's repeated every year.
We are looking for field trips for the Sunday School to take on Sunday mornings
to places in Granby, large and small, that bear witness to new life.
Send your ideas to Rebecca
(It does not have to be spectacular)
We're going to sing and wonder and move out of the basement this Spring...
Here comes the sun!!!

No Sunday School this Sunday due to Spring Break.  We resume on April 19th.

Souper Saturday - April 11
6pm at the Murach's
All are invited for an evening of soup, conversation and connection. Soup is provided by the host. Guests bring appetizer, side, bread or dessert to share. BYOB and Bring a friend!

GRANBY OAK
You certainly recall the Snoctober Snow Storm of Oct. 2011. The Granby Land Trust recently offered pieces of the Granby Oak that were damaged in the storm to those who offered a reasonable proposal. Thanks to Vicki Saunders, we will be receiving a piece of the Granby Oak. Do you have an idea for what we should carve from it? Talk to Vicki!

Korean Partnership
Pastor Ginny and Doug Williams will travel to South Korea April 23-30 to represent the Connecticut Conference in signing a 5-year extension of our partnership agreement with the Kyung-Ki Presbytery. They will also sign an extension of FCCG's partnership with Suwon Presbyterian Church. Pastor Ginny will preach at Suwon Church on Sunday and Doug will sing "One More Circle" and "All the World Is One," with Suwon's musicians. They also look forward to taking part in a dedication of the peace pole which was delivered by three of our high school youth who traveled to South Korea last summer.

Did you know?  Presbyterianism was brought to Korea by Scottish missionaries in 1875. Our partner denomination, the PROK (Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea), broke away from the main body of the Korean Presbyterian Church in 1953 taking the position that the social mission of their church had been abandoned. Today they are the most progressive of Korea's Protestant churches, working for the reunification of the Korean peninsula, and working extensively with the marginalized and the poor.

No G Crew or Sunday School this Sunday, April 12
