First Edition
Let's Journey Together!
Easter always takes me by surprise...

It really shouldn't. Christians have been gathering in catacombs and cemeteries, on hilltops and in sanctuaries for almost 2000 years to celebrate the perplexing claims of the first followers of Jesus... that after Jesus was executed by the Romans and his body laid in a tomb, the women who returned there the next day to prepare the body for burial found the tomb empty. And so we gather on Easter Day to celebrate!

From the outset there has been no consensus over what happened in that place. But something took root, and grew like a weed through a crack in the pavement... something unstoppable, effervescent, and vibrant. It is the essence of our common belief: that life is a stronger force than death.

So let the crazy wild hope of Easter take you by surprise too. Put aside your skepticism and logic and let it leave you a little bit breathless. Join us Sunday at High Meadow at sunrise (6:30 am) and in our sanctuary at 10. It's news too good not to share.

Spring Cleaning, Saturday, 9-11am

Bring vans, trucks, and trailers so we can complete the job of clearing odds and ends out of the basement. A truckload of furniture has already been picked up by the Habitat ReStore but what they couldn't take for resale needs to go to the dump. This is the necessary first step before the basement renovation gets underway!

Baking, Saturday 11-2

We'll be preparing hot cross buns Saturday for Easter Breakfast (this Sunday only beginning at 7:30am, following the Sunrise Service at High Meadow). Join us in the church kitchen.

Setting the tables
Drop by Saturday morning to help set tables and decorate Cook Hall for Easter dinner.

Easter Dinner
...will be served in Cook Hall from 11:15 am until 1 pm. Our menu will start with a traditional ham and scalloped potatoes. Side dishes will be provided by YOU! As for the rest, we would like to hear from you! Side dishes and desserts should be brought to church on Sunday. Come join your church family!
