FOLLOW THE RED RIBBON TO THE FAIR! Come find your place in the ministries of First Church! Get your "passport" stamped as you "journey" around Cook Hall to explore the possibilities. Every completed passport is entered in a drawing for great prizes! For example...

Third Annual AppleFest!

September 20th, 10 am - 4 PM

Cheese Bread & Bake Sale, Vendors, Crafters, Tag Sale, Music

VOLUNTEER! Signups are on the board outside of the kitchen: Set up, run the grill, price items, help with crafters, bake bread in our updated kitchen, greet the community, work the tag sale, sell baked items and soup, and more!

There are still many dates available on the calendar to provide flowers for worship.  Sign up outside the church office. 

 

Choir Retreat

Sunday, September 14, 4 - 6 pm

Thinking about singing? Come check it out with the Chancel Choir Sunday afternoon and get a preview of the music that we'll be singing between now and Christmas. THIS IS A MANDATORY REHEARSAL FOR REGULAR CHOIR MEMBERS--COME IF YOU POSSIBLY CAN. After rehearsing, we will share snacks and stories from the summer, so please plan on bringing one light dish to share! It can be an appetizer, baked dessert, apple cider; anything!

 

BIBLE STUDY

Are you ready for something new this fall? Join the ongoing Bible study group, which meets with Pastor Ginny every Thursday morning from 10:30 to noon in the Memorial Meeting Room. We are about to start a new study of the book Bible Women: All Their Words and Why They Matter. Copies will are available at the discounted price of $15.

 

Calling for your old photos!

Plans are underway for the 275th anniversary celebration. We hope to put together a video to share at the celebration dinner. Do you have old photos of First Church people or events? Please bring them to the church office so we can scan them to include.

A dinner to celebrate the 275 years of First Congregational Church will be held on Saturday, November 15. Plan on spending the evening with friends and family at the Church.

Friday, October 10 - 7:30 pm
The Jolly Beggars will perform in our sanctuary for the inaugural concert of the Barbara Crouse Memorial Concert Series.
