Leaf Collection Begins in November

 

Get out the rake! It's time to clean up all those colorful leaves piling up in your yard. Here's the good news: If bagging leaves is your preference, the City of Roanoke's Solid Waste Management Division is ready to help you. Prevention: The Key to Neighborhood Safety

 

There's a saying: An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Roanoke Police believe prevention practices are essential to neighborhood safety. As part of its ongoing efforts to reduce crime in the City of Roanoke, the department will host a Crime Prevention Day on Sunday, Oct. 21, from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Saint Mark's Lutheran Church, located at 1008 Franklin Road.
