counseling and psychiatric services for adolescents and young adults

With schools winding down for the summer, this change of pace may be the opportunity you have been waiting for to get your teen or adolescent the help they may need.
If you are wondering if your teen struggles with a mental disorder, or if their behavior is just "part of being a teen," Psychological testing may be a valuable option for them - and you - to get the help they need.
Psychological testing can be used to
- clarify an uncertain diagnosis
- measure cognitive ability
- assess factors that may interfere with academic success
- to inform treatment planning.
In today's results driven education system, where high stakes testing dictates success or failure, our students are under more pressure to perform than any generation before. School success is difficult enough as it is, but for kids who struggle with attention problems, learning disabilities or emotional disabilities, it can feel impossible.
School districts have resources to help kids, but it is often left to parents to fight for these educational resources. Psychoeducational assessments provide the documented medical evidence necessary to advocate for a student's academic needs.
As always, if there is ever anything we can do to be of assistance to you, please don't hesitate to give us a call!
