...And Mele Kalikimaka to you and your 'ohana! The holidays are upon us with the celebrations and traditions of the season.
Since 1997, Hawaii Reserves, Inc., has published a calendar each year that focus on some unique aspect of our wonderful community. Distributed free of charge to residents and special associates, the calendars have become keepsakes for many long-time community members.
The new 2015 calendar celebrates a major milestone for our beloved town -- the 150th anniversary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Laie! Its original purchase of the "Laie Plantation" occurred on January 26, 1865.

"Laie . . . a pu'uhonua, a gathering place, a plantation, a temple community, a university town, home to a world-famous visitor attraction, a place of natural beauty, clean air and pristine water, richly diverse, culturally abundant, filled with aloha and purpose . . . is our home," said Eric Beaver, president of HRI. "We are grateful for it and for all those who have helped make it the community it is today."
