It's official - the City Council Zoning & Planning Committee hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday, October 8th! The anticipated meeting in our community provides an opportunity for residents to provide input to the council on the city's Ko'olau Loa Sustainable Communities Plan (KSCP) final draft:
- Tuesday, Oct. 8th, 6-9 p.m.
- Kahuku High Cafeteria
A number of Envision Laie proposals are included in the City's KSCP draft, such as additional housing at Malaekahana, growth for BYU-Hawaii and the Polynesian Cultural Center, and an alternate access road.
The plan includes areas for housing and jobs, but some oppose this plan. The decision of the committee will be based largely on the voices heard at this meeting; our collective future will be shaped by our participation.
