Aloha ,
As part of our community's annual "Laie Days" festivities, Hawaii Reserves, Inc. and the Laie Shopping Center will be hosting the 17th annual Summer Bash tomorrow night! As always, there will be great entertainment, 'ono food from local vendors, and free rides for the keiki.
While at the "bash", stop by the Envision Laie Information Center at the Hauula end of the shopping center to get some free popcorn.
Entering its fourth year of operation, the Envision center features the latest info on projects in our area, along with exciting possibilities for our future. Several hundred residents have visited the center since its opening in 2010.
Save The Date: City Council Hearing on KSCP
City Plan August 7th
All indications are that the Honolulu City Council will hold its first hearing on the Ko'olau Loa Sustainable Communities Plan (KSCP) on Wednesday, August 7th.
The KSCP helps guide City land use decisions in our region for the next 25 years. After years of public meetings and input the City's Department of Planning & Permitting amended the plan to include some of Envision Laie's growth proposals, including more housing, jobs and growth for the community, BYU-Hawaii, and the Polynesian Cultural Center.
We encourage everyone to participate and provide input -- every voice counts! We'll provide updates as more info becomes available.
Mahalo,
The Envision Lā'ie Team
