guamiski pyramid In June Ashley (Victoria) and Elizabeth got to spend a week at Camp Guamiski.
This camp is made especially for missionary kids and is a wonderful time for them to get together, worship, study the bible and just have fun.  It was a great experience for the girls.  They are already looking forward to next year's camp.

June/July 2013
Greetings!

Here we are starting the second half of 2013.  I cannot believe how quickly time has gone by.  We have seen so much in the first half of the year.  We have hosted 3 teams and visited hospitals and congregations in the cities of Quetzaltenango, San Marcos, Totonicapan, Solola, Nebaj, Salcaja, Huehuetenango and Guatemala City.  Our first container came in and the donations were distributed to the local hospitals and clinics and our next container is on the way.  We have had wonderful moments of discipleship and mentoring young leaders and pastors and have enjoyed moments of joy with the kids at Canica.  I can hardly believe this has all happened in just 6 month.  God is amazing!

Ministry with friends...

We are blessed to work with an amazing group of pastors.  It is always an honor to be able to share the Gospel in their congregations and see God working in the hearts of the people.  God always confirms the preaching of his Word by bringing many new believers into his family.
Most of our work is behind the scenes with leaders and even with some of the pastors themselves in the way of mentoring and training.  When we do have the opportunity to share the gospel from the pulpit we count it as a great privilege.  During June, we had a visit from Pastors Paul and Nancy Glass and while they were here we visited with several of our congregations.  It was a wonderful time visiting and sharing the word with our fellow brothers and sisters and watching God touch and change lives.

Celebrating 17 years

July 10th 1996 we stepped off the airplane in Guatemala City, not knowing the language, only knowing one family and having no knowledge of what was ahead of us.  A lot has happened over the past 17 years.  Now we speak at least as much Spanish as we do English (and sometimes more).  We have been blessed by a multitude of new friends, of which many have now become a part of our family as well.  We have seen countless people profess
Jesus as their Lord and Savior.  We have help train thousands of leaders.  We have taught in bible schools, and preached all over Guatemala.  When we moved here the only thing we knew for sure was that we would be here for a year to learn the language.  We stand in awe of all that God has done in an through us.  We look forward to the years ahead, knowing that this is only the beginning and that there is more to be accomplished!  We give God the glory because we know without Him we are nothing!  We thank each and every one of you that have made these 17 years possible and have covered us with your prayers and supported us financially.  We are blessed!!

We have had a very busy and fruitful first half of 2013 and look forward to all God will do in the months to come.   Please continue to pray with us as we follow God's direction for our ministry here.
