Greetings!

Here we are, counting down the days until Christmas and the beginning of a new year, it just seems unbelievable.  We hope your family has the most wonderful Christmas and that you enjoy time with friends and family during this very special season.  May we keep present in our minds the reason for our celebration for it was that very special gift, given so long ago, that not only gives us a reason to celebrate, but also a purpose to live each and every day.  From our family to yours... a Very Merry Christmas!

Our Girls

Please be praying for Ashley & Elizabeth.  As you receive this email they are headed with their volleyball team to Mazatenango to participate in the National Championship.  Please agree with us that they will be safe and have an enjoyable time with their team, whatever the outcome may be.

Rebekah has just finished her first year of college. We are very proud of the example she has been in her classes and of her perseverance and hard work in her studies. It is still hard for me to believe how quickly my girls are growing up.

Earthquake Update

Although life is relatively back to normal, there is still a lot of need in the regions affected by the 7.4 magnitude quake that hit on Wednesday, November 7th.  We have teamed up with several other missionaries and ministries to provide relief to those still recovering from this tragic event.  We thank each of you that contributed and allowed us to be able to send food, blankets, personal hygiene products and most importantly, hope and happiness.  There is still a long way to go as many are just starting the journey towards rebuilding their lives.

Pastor's Conference

We had a wonderful time with Pastor's Tony & Tami Cribb, Pastor's Stephen & Rhonda Burns and the pastors of the Word in Action churches here in Guatemala.  We thank each of you that prayed for the pastors as they took this time to refresh themselves and gain new strength to continue in the work they have been called to do.  We are honored to be able to serve and work alongside these great men of God!

Looking Ahead

During this month as we are counting down the days until the new year, it is common for everyone to look back over the year and evaluate what they have accomplished.  For us, this has been a very fulfilling year.  We have been able to work alongside the national pastors and help equip local leaders.  We have had the opportunity to join hands with the CANICA orphanage and help them to share love and hope to the orphans living there.  We have seen God's hand of protection and mercy on ourselves, our family and those with whom we minister. Looking back over the year brings many wonderful memories but we cannot stop there.  We must look ahead as 2,013 is just around the corner.

We already have many things on the calendar.  We are confident that this new year will bring great opportunities to expand the kingdom of God.  Please join with us and pray as we prepare for all that God has planned for us and our ministry.
