New Cider Business!
Congratulations to David Dolginow and Colin Davis on the start of their new business Shacksbury Cider. With funding through Kickstarter, they are well on their way to planting an heirloom apple orchard where old varieties will make new cider. They have found some wonderful old style hard ciders in England and Spain to bottle and label until their Shoreham orchard comes into full production.

F2S:Snacking Your Way to Healthy Eating

Bristol Elementary is serving up fresh produce for snacks as part of a healthy diet campaign. Kristen Andrews is working as a liaison with teachers and food service to help broaden the range of foods that kids are exposed.  Another great food connection, kitchen manager Christa Cowen is carrying on the good meals tradition at Beeman to her new position at BES. Our hats off to the entire BES team in working together to bring new food experiences to the kids. These changes and mentors help create good eating habits and future Junior Iron Chefs.
