Monthly YR General Meeting
This month's speaker will be Missouri State Representative John Diehl (District 089). Representative Diehl was first elected in 2008 and is the current Majority Floor Leader. He will be the new Speaker of the House in 2015. His district is located in Saint Louis County and includes parts of several cities including, Town and Country, Chesterfield, Ballwin, Kirkwood, Des Peres, Creve Coeur, Frontenac, and Ladue.

The Monthly General meeting will be held on Thursday, October 09, 2014 at 7:15 PM at the Saint Louis County Library's Mid-County Branch in Downtown Clayton (7821 Maryland Avenue; Saint Louis, Missouri 63105-3875). The meeting will be held in the Large Auditorium. The business meeting will start at 7:15 PM followed by the speaker at 7:30 PM.  

Parking Information: FREE parking after 5:00 PM in City of Clayton surface lots and meters near the Library.

 

For those wishing to do so, we will be going to socialize at a nearby establishment after the meeting.

STL YR Super Saturday
On Saturday, October 11, 2014, we will have teams going door-to-door to help several candidates including, Rick Stream, Dave Schatz, Kirk Mathews, John "Jay" Ashcroft, and John Diehl.

We will be meeting at 9:30 AM for the 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM shift and 1:30 PM for the 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM shift. The meeting location will be in the large parking lot of the Gold's Gym and Office Depot behind the Chipotle in Ellisville (15836 Manchester Road; Ellisville, Missouri 63011). Please, email info@stlouisyrs.com to let us know which shift you would like to volunteer.

Capitol Steps at The Sheldon
Capitol Steps, a comedic group that does political song parodies and skits, is coming to Saint Louis on 10/26/2014 at 7:00PM at The Sheldon. Tickets are approximately $45.00 each. Jeffrey Evitts would like to get a group of YRs together to attend this event. Email info@stlouisyrs.com if interested.

Saint Louis Young Republican General Member Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month and Monthly Happy Hours are held the fourth Friday of each month.

Job Opportunity with State Representative Sommer
Missouri State Representative Chrissy Sommer (R-106) is looking for 1 to 2 people to work as campaign assistants and primarily focus on Door to Door in the Saint Charles Area.

So even if you are helping another Campaign or have another job, hours and days are flexible. Ideally you will have at least 3 hrs - 2 times per week. If you have more time, great. If you have less time, She'll make that work too.

All homes are in the 63301 or 63303 zip code and you must have your own transportation to get to neighborhoods.

This is TEMPORARY WORK - Starts IMMEDIATELY - and does pay.

Chrissy Sommer for Missouri State Representative is having a phone banking night on Wednesday, October 08, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Pizza will be provided. You do not need to be available all four hours, you are welcome to volunteer as available.

Election Workers Needed in Saint Louis County
The Saint Louis County Board of Elections is in need of talented individuals to staff polling places for the November 4th election.

The pay range is $155 to $205 which includes a training class held at our office in Maplewood prior to the election.

To work at the polls you must be a registered voter of Missouri and be willing to declare a party (Democrat or Republican).
