Director's View |
The first month or two of the winter season is always exciting - we've just celebrated holidays with family and friends and the cold and snow is still novel enough to enjoy. It is when the days stretch grey for unbroken strings that you long for something to take you away from it all. That something is a good book, or two, or five. In the words of Ernest Hemingway - "All good books are alike in that they are truer than if they had really happened and after you are finished reading one you will feel that all that had happened to you and afterwards it all belongs to you; the good and the bad, the ecstasy, the remorse and the sorrow, the people and the places and how the weather was." Come in and choose a book, or go online and download an e-book from our site. Either way, let a book take you away.
